Swanton D move up to third with a win against a two player Bintree side, who fought hard for their 3 points which all game in five set games, Bruce Bishop's 14-12 finale against Steve Sheldrake proving the best of the three. For Swanton David Appleby continued in unbeaten vein to see them to the win.

Bintree fought long and hard and deserved something to take away, but the home net, combined with the home table edges, decreed otherwise. Matthew Hubbard came back from two sets down against Phil Barber to take it into the fifth, where he was leading 6-1, but the trusty net eroded his lead and he finally lost out 11-9.
