The ETTA are introducing an Individual Membership Scheme, starting this coming season.
All players need to register - details are available in a Word doc from Nigel Houseago, League Secretary which is under Downloads on our site. Click here to access the Membership Scheme file.
Nigel's doc also has a link to the ETTA website area containing information about the Scheme.
Hunworth would like to play friendly matches with anyone up for it over the summer.
The best nights for these would be Monday, Thursday or Friday.
If you would like to get a side together for a match with them get in touch with Barry Evans - contact details in the handbook.
Weekly coaching sessions will be taking place on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 - 9.30 pm at Swanton Morley Village Hall, Mann's Lane, Swanton Morley, starting from Wednesday 9th June.
Qualified coaches and helpers will be available for these sessions, which are open to both League members and non-members. In fact non members are especially welcomed, regardless of age and experience.
This is a great chance to start the learning experience for complete beginners, as well as helping you with your game if you are already playing.
Our Coaching Officer Howard Lupton has organised the sessions. Please feel free to contact him on 01362 688522 if you have any questions. If you are an experienced player and would like to help, please contact Howard.
We look forward to meeting you.
The Craske Cup Final saw the League's top two in action and the match saw several close tussles and tight sets, with excellent table tennis from both sides. It was The Mission though who took control from the start, taking the first two doubles games, followed by a win for Paul Barrett over Nigel Houseago. After that it was always going to tough for Bradenham, but Keith Hunt did take the next in five sets over Steve Barrett to give them some hope. Mission were again proving too strong for Bradenham though, and they were quickly back to winning ways with wins for Robin Thaxter against Dave Attridge and Paul Barrett over Keith Hunt to clinch the match and the cup.
