11/04/2012, played at Swanton Morley Village Hall.
Swanton Morley H lost to Windsor Park 4-6.
This match proved to be a fitting climax to a highly enjoyable season for both teams. The high standard of play had the spectators running out of superlatives and was such that the result seemed almost secondary. But not quite, especially for Windsor Park who shaded the match 6-4. Even the spate of nets and edges were equally shared!! Special mention should be made of Simon Denton, whose maximum included two cliff-hangers against the differing styles of Neil Powell and Steve Westbury, both games ending in five sets, 15-13 and 17-15 respectively. The Denton’s have been a revelation this season. Dad Simon and brothers Matt and Phil are a credit to their family and to the league. Well done to them.

Bintree B lost to Swanton Morley D 3-7.
Interesting happenings on Wednesday at Bintree with Bintree B playing Swanton D twice! Bintree put out 2 distinct trios (as previously agreed with Steve Sheldrake), but Swanton D's star man (DA) was carrying an injury, and could only participate in 1 of the matches. Heroics though from Chris Woods, playing a doubles & 6 singles a day after being bedridden with flu. All in all each team won a match 12-6, so in the end probably everyone was happy (then again....maybe not...)
